- Start of session:
Gymnasts/Parents/Family/Carers are reminded that Gymnasts are to arrive 5 minutes before their session starts (we appreciate that factors happen like traffic, parking). Gymnasts should wait quietly out in the corridor until their session starts. - Drink:
Gymnasts must have a drink with them every session as they need to hydrate throughout their session. Gymnasts and Parents are reminded that food and drink should not be consumed within the gym. Gymnasts should leave their drinks out in the corridor. Coaches don't have spare drinks, that can be given to gymnasts. - Jewellery:
Jewellery is to be removed before entering the gym. Coaches cannot be held responsible for watches, rings, bracelets, necklaces or earrings. - Appearance/Clothing
Hair must be neatly tied up, as long hair gets in the way when coaches are trying to assist in moves, as well as in the gymnast's way when working floor, apparatus and trampolining.
Falcon Spartak have a range of clothing available to purchase which is appropriate to wear while training. Tee shirts/Polo shirts, Tracksuits/Jogging bottoms, sports shorts are the best thing to wear or leotards. It is safer when using apparatus, especially bars and rings. Strappy tops, short shorts, jeans, jumpers, crop tops are inappropriate attire.

Norwegian Gymnasts welcomed at Falcon Spartak
During the weekend of the 2nd and 3rd June 2018 we were delighted to welcome 3 Rhythmic and 4 Men’s artistic gymnasts from Norway for a competition as preparation for their participation in the 2019 Special Olympics World Games in Abu Dhabi . There are very few clubs in Norway offering competitions to these gymnasts so they have to travel to wherever they can to get competition with other similar gymnasts. We had a great competition and saw some excellent work from all the gymnasts. The Norwegian coaches were keen to learn more about gymnastics in Great Britain and informal meetings were held to discuss the disability and Special Olympics training programs. The gymnasts were given an invitation to take part in the Poole Open competition in October as further preparation for World Games.
A very friendly and most enjoyable weekend for everyone. I would like to offer sincere thanks to the parents from the Saturday morning class that came to the gym on Sunday afternoon to help put the kit away.. photos to follow...
